Manufacturing Industries

Manufacturing industries are those industries which convert or transform raw materials and semi processed materials into finished products. these industries create from utility by converting raw and semi-processed materials into finished products through a certain process and give a new look to the finished product.  Manufacturing industries produce both industrial and consumer, product. Examples of manufacturing industries are iron and steel, machinery automobile, electrical and electronics, sugar and textile mills, and the like. manufacturing industries are also divided into the following : Analytical industries, Synthetic industries, processing industries, Processing industries.Assembling industries Continuous industries.

Extractive Industries

These industries produce or raise the output from the nature such as the earth, air, sea, climate and soil with little application of human skills. Examples of such industries are mining of coal and gold from the earth, extraction of oil gas from oil wells, fishing from sea, generating electricity from air rivers, raising crops from soil and climate, and so on. The outputs of these industries are used by manufacturing and construction industries.

Genetic Industry

Genetic Industries are such industries in which certain species of plants and animals are multiplied and reproduced for the purpose of creating wealth . Examples of genetic industries are nurseries where plants are grown for the the sale; poultry farm where birds are raised for meat and eggs; animal husbandry where cattle are raised for milk and leather, and sheeps for meat and wool; pisciculture for growing fish in ponds, canals and rivers; orchard to harvest different kinds of fruits; commercial kernels; and agriculture or farming for  growing crops. Such indusries depend on the nature but require greater application of human skill.

secondary industry

Secondary industry is the industry which is concerned with the conversion of raw materials into finished product that can be either consumed for satisfying the human needs or can be used for the further production. Secondary industry gets its raw materials generally from the primary industry such as extractive industry, genetic industry etc. Secondary industry can be classified into manufacturing industry and constructive industry. Manufacturing industry involves in the production of consumable goods through the process of conversion, processing etc. Sugar industry, for instance, converts sugarcane, the output of agriculture into sugar. Here, sugar is the output of farming, a primary industry. Therefore, sugar industry is the example of secondary industry. It also involves in different steps of processing crude raw materials into finished product. Crude oil extracted is processed into different steps in order to make petrol, diesel, kerosene etc. Constructive industry on the other hand involves in the construction of roads, buildings, dams, bridges etc. These products are not meant for selling in the market rather they are sold wherever they are constructed.

industry

Industry is a process of converting inputs into output in order to satisfy the human wants. It produces goods and services to fulfill the human needs. It utilizes various resources like human, financial, physical for the purpose of producing gods and services. It converts, processes, and extracts goods. It can be classified into different types on the basis of process of production and the nature of its output.

A) Primary Industry
B) Secondary Industry
Primary Industry: This type of industry produces crude raw materials either extracting from the beneath the earth or involves in the multiplications of certain species of plants and animals. The output of such industry is generally used as raw materials by the secondary industry. Primary industry is the sources for the raw materials for the secondary industry. Primary industry is further classified into genetic industry and extractive industry. Genetic industry is the industry which involves in the multiplication of certain species of animals and plants. Animal husbandry, for instance, is the primary industry which is related with breeding of different species of animals.
